Hi all, I am sorry to present your question to all, but I felt like others had the same question, and felt like we should hear everyone thoughts here. I am not going to try to tell someone what they can or cannot enter into this database. There is a spot for listing a source. If a person has one they can place it there, if they don't then they may list their names and email address as a contact. The only kind of information that I do try very hard to stop, is the listing of living individuals. This is a big concern for me. Yes this information can be very helpful, but it can also be very harmful to those involved. I would like to think this information will be used as it was meant, but no one can be sure of this. As for sourced and non-sourced, I don't like the debate. We should be able to see that a bit of information is sourced and also that a bit is not. We can easily disregard the unsourced information if we feel it is incorrect, or we can try to help the individual or individuals to see why we think it is wrong. There will always be differences of opinions here. In these cases leave both, and let each individual decide for themselves. I feel each has a right to their opinions, especially so when it involves their family. History can be a funny thing, sometimes things do not happen as they are written to have happen, other times they couldn't be more right. There is no one left around to tell us fact from fiction in most cases. I only hope this database proves to be a helpful resource in your search for your family's history. A person should be able to look and see all the Elizabeths, James, Johns, or Williams and see how someone could get lost very quickly. I feel some of these folks are one and the same, however till proven otherwise they are listed separately. I do hope to have merge function available in the future to allow information on two individuals to be combined to one. Now that I have gotten completely off track, I will stop jabbering. Good Luck with your research, Mark Floyd leonardz
