John CRAWFORD b. 1805 in NY was a farmer in 1850 NY census- - Wife Diana FAY b. 1812. Family was said to be of French, Irish, Scottish, and English descent. Children listed in Census 1850 1. Alice (Lavina) b. 24 Nov 1837 -Beetmanton, Canada 2. Winny or Mary b. 1839 3. John b. 1841 4. Hirman ?- 1843 in St. Lawrence Co. NY 5. George - b.1849 in St. Lawrence Co. NY- Piersport. The CRAWFORD family moved to Ogdenburg, St. Lawrence Co. NY in 1842. Alice (Lavina) CRAWFORD married Dr.John Wesley JOHNSTON in Piersport NY on 28 Jan 1854.
