I am trying to find the parents of William J. Crawford, born Jan 18, 1827. He married Rebecca A. Shifflett, born June 27, 1828, and married Feb 25, 1850. All of this happened in Rockingham Co., VA. The 1850 census for Rockingham shows William, age 22, living with Rebecca, age 21 and Nancy Crawford, age 18. I think Nancy might be William's sister. Does anyone have access to the 1840 Rockingham census which will show William living with his parents at age 12. The information would be on pages 53, 83, 107 or 126. Robert Lee Crawford Sr
