Hi Jean, I even have a sister named Jean, and we are Crawfords also. Just wanted to let you know that I have been reading all yourletters and am very interested in them. I have two sets of CRAWFORDs. It is possible that they are one and the same family, though I still have no way of knowing where my northern group actually comes from. We understand from Scotland and "have a castle" there. It really is reduced to rubble now [20 years ago]. The southern set are definitly out of Scotland and from the Inverness area. Dad understood that his people [the north] were of the Lindsay clan.
