GREAT FIND!! In searching the National Archives' web site at nara.gov. I found photographs of General Samuel W. Crawford from the Civil War. I also found images of the registration cards of Clinton K. Crawford and William S. Crawford in the Spanish American War. Clinton K. Crawford registered at San Antonio, TX. Once at NARA, go to the NAIL Digital section and perform a search. I used "Civil War and Crawford" and "Military Records and Crawford." Hope you find someone you've been looking for.
