One again I am searching for my great-grandparents, Pinckney Winfield "P.W." OWEN (S) and Zilla "Zilley" Crawford Owen (s). P.W. was born in 1818 in TN (probably west TN) and came to Texas with his parents, William "Billy" & Elizabeth and his several sibling early 1837. Zilley Crawford was born Dec 1822 in Middle TN or Al. to John Crawford and ?. She came to Texas early 1837 also in the same wagon train as the Owens, tho her father John may have already been in TX. P.W. and Zilley were married in "old Harriisburg" , Republic of Texas, possibly late 1837 -1838. They had 10 children, the six older ones possibly born in Walker county. The Owen(s) family moved to Limestone County ca 1854-1855, the other four children were born in Limestone Co where the family had a farm near Personville. P.W. served in CSA, came home ill and died in 1869. They lost their first son James in death while serving in the CSA. Two other sons , John Franklin & Robert Dale also served with the CSA. Zilley died in Dec. 1877, the farm later was sold. I cannot find where P.W. and Zilley were married, were buried, have not located where the children were buried, but believed in Limestone County somewhere. Pinckney & Zilla had children: James Jefferson b. 1840 John Franklin b.1842 Robert Dale b. 1844 Mary Jane b. 1847 Sarah Ann b. 1849 Pinckney W. b. 1852 Texana M. b. 1855 Geo.
