after years of looking i have found the maiden name of my grandmother s She is CLARA M (martha) CRAWFORD.She m BENJAMIN F HARRIS ,SR date unknown but most likely in mid 1880's. It is said Benjamin Harris ,Sr.was born in Branch County,in the town of Coldwater,MI. in early 1860's. CLARA M CRAWFORD HARRIS had 5 children by BENJAMIN F HARRIS,Sr . Jason(jay) ;Albert ; Benjamin Jr, Russell & Alsa or Elsa. Their 3rd son was my father, Benjamin Harris,Jr born in in DeKalb County ,INDIANA in the town of Butler.IN on 17APR1893. CLARA MARTHA CRAWFORD died when my father was a young teen ,around 1906-08 . At the time the family was living either in Wayne Co ,MI or Oakland Co,MI While i still have sketchy info on my granfathers Harris' side of the family,i have none whatsoever on my grandmothers Harris' (Crawford) side, since i just found out her maiden name was CRAWFORD this afternoon. I remember mention of relatives "out west", beleive CA,but don't know which side of family its on .
