I too am searching for Rockingham Co., Crawfords. My Grandfather was Cleveland Crawford (b. March 1885). I find no record of who his father was. He is found in the 1900 Census living with his grandfather - Samuel Crawford (b. Apr 1837), his brother Garfield (b. Mar 1883), sister Manda F. (b. Mar 1891), and Samuel's daughter (maybe Aunt, maybe mother - I don't think so though) - Jaine (b. May 1860). >From a marriage certificate Cleveland marries Nellie Knight on July 24, 1910 in Rockingham Co., VA. His brother Garfield Crawford marries Hattie M. Dove on December 20, 1909. and His sister Manda Fannie Crawford marries a Jacob Hoover on in 1906. In the 1910 Rockingham Co., VA Census Garfield is listed as Garfield Crofford living with his wife Hattie M. no children. In 1910 Cleveland Crawford is living with sister Fannie (Manda) and brother-in-law Jacob Hoover. Per World War I Registration Card the following information is contained on the card: Cleave Crawford Address: 8 Mt. Clinton, Rock., VA Age: 33 DOB: 15 Mar 1885 Ht: Medium Build: Medium Color Eyes: Blue Color Hair: Brown Per Marriage Certificate: Date of Marriage: 24 July 1910 Place of Marriage: Rockingham Co., VA Age of Husband: 25 Age of Wife: 16 Husband Parents: _____ and Nangus WIfe's Parents: A.J. and Delia Knight I am looking for any information on who might be Cleveland parent's were. It appears that his mother's name was Nangus....although, the clerk may have misread the name...and it appears that either the father's name was not present or illegible?
