My GGGG Grandfather was John A. Crawford (1761-1833). He was born in County Antrim, North Ireland. John A. was a Weaver. He emigrated to America in 1782 and settled in the Waxhaw settlement in South Carolina. He married Agnes "Nancy" Glass (17800-1832) in Carolina. He served in the Revolutionary War in the 2nd South Carolina regiment, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Marlen. This family left the Waxhaws in the fall of 1804, migrated to Tennessee, then Kentucky and finally settled in Golconda, Illinois. There were 14 children born to John and Nancy: Mary, John C.. Isabella, Hannah, Nancy, James, Francis, George, William, Robert S., Joseph and Elinor. I have limited information about these children. Would be happy to share further information.
