My Crawfords were in NC before 1800, and I can't get them out of Rutherford Co., NC. I'd just love to get them back across the sea, but need to identify the immigrant first. I've just about decided that roots is really a literal term in my family. I think some them just sprouted from the ground on the East Coast, and the Crawfords are among those lines! Ida
