For historical geography's sake, that pointy part now being WV that juts up between PA & OH was VA. On another issue, 1820 census at Fairfield Co OH lists Joshua, Moses, Jacob, James, Robt, Samuel. Some of those names are seen 1790-1810 Frederick Co MD, by 1820 only Samuel remained. I have NO idea if they may be related. Moses in particular wasn't a common given name. One surprised me being in Westmoreland Co PA 1800 (where my MD-born Mathias relocated about 1801) then for a couple decades in IN Co PA which was cut off old Westmoreland. > Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2007 23:31:12 -0600 > From: "Mary Stockton" <[email protected]> > Subject: [CRAWFORD] MD + PA > OH > IN > IA Crawfords > > Hi all, I'm looking for my gggrandparents.
