My apologies if this is a duplicate post - the dratted dial-up connection is so unreliable! My interests are as follows: John S. Crawford, a baker (b. 26 May 1829, Kilsyth Parish, Stirlingshire, Scotland) married Isabella Macnie (b. 16 Jun 1838, Stirling Parish, Stirlingshire, Scotland). John's children from his first marriage (to Jean Shearer) were: Charles (b. 12 Sept. 1857), Mary White (b. 8 Jun 1859), John Shearer (b. 5 Jun 1862), and Margaret Calder (b. 20 Nov 1866). John's children with Isabella Macnie were: George Macnie (b. 26 Jun 1876), Archibald C. (b. 23 Sept 1878), and Frances Isabella (b. 11 May 1881). In 1880 the family came to America and lived first in St. Vincent, Kittson Co., MN. Later the family moved to Crookston, Polk Co., MN where they established their bakery. Frances Isabella (my grandmother) was disowned because she married against the family's wishes. George got married in CA and had one daughter; Archibald got married in MN and helped raise his wife's niece. As far as I know, none of the other children ever married. Any connections?
