I just looked at Ancestry.com and One World Tree. If you do not have that it says Zillah A. Crawford was born 11 Dec. 1822 in Middle, Tennessee. Died in 1870 Limestone, Texas,married 1836 (does not say where) parents John Crawford & Margaret Buchanan, spouse Pinckney Winfield Owen. Donna & Mary. Regarding my Zillah Crawford. I think someone "jumped the gun" in respects to her mother being Margaret Buchanan. In all my 10 years of research, I have not found that to be true, as I have found nothing. Her father may not have even been John Crawford. The info you sent me on her DOB is the facts I have. She & P.W. Owen ( Pinckney) married most likely prior to 10/1837, and in Texas but they were not in TX before Spring of 1837. So the search continues. Hey maybe someone can help me I'm looking for the cemetery of my GGGGrandmother, Eliza Crawford, (African American) ,she died 1/29/41 in Kathwood, SC. The church was St. Katherine in Kathwood, SC and the funeral home was Blount's Funeral Home in Augusta, GA. With all of this I still can't find out where she is actually buried.
