Cathy, I am very interested in who your Crawford ancestor was in Rutherford Co. and how the line goes back to Ireland. It appears that the lines we match on DNA, who have traced lines back, have found their line goes to Ireland. I strongly suspect that is where our line originated, or at least came from there, perhaps having gone from Scotland to Ireland at an earlier time. Some who know their line came from Ireland came to the Americas later than mine did, hence is has been difficult to find the connection, as it apparently existed in Ireland. While my line was in the south, later ones seem to have gone north, some as far north as Canada. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much for your reply.
