>From PA to Ringgold Co, IA, to Clay Co, MO One comment - Joseph's descendants are interesting! Maybe being youngest made him adventurous. With first wife Mary ANDERSON the family left Armstrong Co, PA for IA between 1840-1845. Eldest daughters Eliza and Helen married with HESSENFLOW neighbors. They likely led the crew into MO. After the war Lewis wandered to KS and then MO. I don't quite understand Preston yet, the eldest of the children of his 2nd wife were born TN right after the Civil War then sometime in the 1870s he/they rejoined the family in MO. Jeremiah and wife Catherine MARTIN moved their family to MI late 1870s. Youngest was Sarah born 1845 IA, I don't know if she expired or married young, she wasn't with the family 1860. Rebecca died 1873. Joseph apparently remarried with Mary ORR, a very young woman his children's age. They had children Maggie and Rosa Belle late 1870s MO. Per census I don't believe Joseph was born until about 1813, his brother Thomas was born 1805. Thomas also left PA about 1848 but for OH.
