Hi Listers, I was wondering whether any of you had any info on 3 CRAWFORD brothers who were born in Bromsgrove, Worcs. ENG. and settled in Australia. Oliver, born circa 1835, settled in Aus in 1860 and died at Lansdowne Road East St.Kilda Melbourne on 12-6-1916 aged 81, leaving a widow, 2 sons and 2 daughters. He was a Printer by trade. One of his sons, George Michael died aged 15 months in February 1867 at Deniliquin NSW. John, born <July 1839, settled in Aus circa 1880?? Wife's name was Nancy. Died on 11-10-1898, aged 59, at 26 Margaret Street South Yarra. He was a builder by trade. John left a will favouring his wife - John's sister, Fanny unsuccessfully contested it. Titus, born 2nd qtr 1844, settled in Aus circa 1865. Died on 16-6-1900 at Warracknabeal, Victoria. Children; John b.21-12-1887; Maude b.2-1-1889; Albert Goyura b.10-6-1892; and Ann b.??-10-1895. (all born at Warracknabeal). Son John, was killed in France on 3-5-1917. The above 3 also had a sister, Fanny, born 4th qtr 1841, who settled in Melbourne in 1865. She married Thomas REED in 1884 and they moved to #2 Barry Street, South Yarra. Fanny died on 17-5-1923 aged 81. Thomas died on 15-4-1910 aged 76. He is described as 'Gent' in his will.
