My Owen(s) gggrandfather, ggrandfather & 4 or more of his brothers received land grants. Second Class Grants were received by those who were in Texas prior to Oct 1, 1837 and to receive 1280 A, they had to be married and as Zilliah Crawford & P.W. Owen received 1280 A, I think they had to have been married by Oct 1, 1837.
