I don't know what others have done since ancestry.com cancelled the free public online trees. For now I've moved mine - over 23,000 individuals - to rootsweb's trees. That's the only place I've found that also shows my working notes which I want others to be able to see whether to sort out whose is which, or to see how I've come up with what I have. What next?
