Hi all, I am hoping to clarify a family tree line here. I have ran across this statement: In the books titled: The Brothers Crawford: Col. William and Valentine Jr" and "Moses Crawford and Isabell Clark Crawford of Bucks Co. Pa." These books that Col. WILLIAM CRAWFORD and brother COL. VALENTINE CRAWFORD were the sons of MOSES's brother VALENTINE or WILLIAM ( there is a long explanation on why it was undecided which name their father had). and this one: George and William emigrated to America in 1670 from Lenarkshire, Ayrshire, Scotland and Donegal, Ireland and settled in Jamestown, James City County, Virginia. They were kinsman to John Crawford born in Ayrshire, Scotland(1600-1676). Later George and his sons located in S. Norfolk, Virginia and their descendants went south into Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. William went into Delaware and married a Huguenot lady of distinction (Naudaine Valentine). William's descendants went into Maryland, Penn, Ohio and west. so am I right to make this conclusion? Unknown Crawford has these children: --George Crawford --William or Valentine Crawford who married Naudine Valentine --Moses Crawford who married Isabell Clark This also would make: --William or Valentine Crawford who married Naudine Valentine as parents of: ----Col.
