Deborah, I'm sorry to say I cannot place any of your names in my Crawford family, and thus have no photos. My Crawfords did live in Union and then Fannin Co. GA as early as 1850, but my particular line left, going to AL, then TN and later to TX and OK. I've not found many photos of my line either. I have none for my Crawford great grandfather, only for one of his daughters and quite a few for my grandfather. Do you have a male surnamed Crawford, such as a brother, father, uncle, cousin who has participated in the Crawford DNA study or who could participate. If you are not familiar with the project visit this website to see the results so far. _http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/c/crawford/results.html_ (http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/c/crawford/results.html) Good luck in your quest! Now that this list is very active, it might be the right time to post my Crawford ancestors once again in hopes I make a connection. I started my searches nine years ago in hopes if finding out what happened to my paternal grandfather. Now with over 1,500 ancestors on my family tree (of other surnames) he remains a mystery. This is what I know, or think I know........ by generation. 1. Unknown Crawford, born in N.Y, year unknown 2. T. O. Crawford, b. about 1842 in Illinois married Sara (unknown, possibly Luce), who was born about 1856 in Mississippi 3. Their children----- *William Adolphus Crawford, born 1873 in Texas Charles Crawford, b. abt. 1876 in Texas Mary Crawford, b. ab. 1878 Thomas (O'Neal) Crawford, b. April, 1880 in Texas ----this is my grandfather who left his family in 1920, supposedly headed to Oklahoma Robert Crawford, b. August 1887 * William Adolphus Crawford and wife, Arie Octavia Boman (b. 1872 in Kentucky), moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area (Sperry, then Oklahoma City) in 1915, according to their obituaries that I obtained through a paid researcher. I found a Charles Crawford in the same area that's the right age to be the brother. 4. My dad, Carl O'Neal Crawford, b. 1907 in Texas. As you can see, I haven't been able to go further back in time. If any of this is familiar to anyone, I would LOVE to hear from you! Patricia (Crawford) McKnight A family tree can wither if no one tends it's roots.......... ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, August 18, 2007 7:37 PM Subject: Re: [CRAWFORD] Share the ancestry of the Crawfords from Georgia > Deborah, > > I'm sorry to say I cannot place any of your names in my Crawford family, > and > thus have no photos.
