Your James b. 1775 could be in the family back further than I have. With a difference of 9 years, they could have been brothers or perhaps cousins. His third son John, born in Boston in 1734, married, in 1757, Mary Rosebrook, who was the sister of Eleazar, John and Mary Rosebrook Crawford. _John and Mary Rosebrook Crawford_ had eleven children some of them settling in and around Guildhall, Vermont. One of them was a son John, Jr. who bought a farm in Guildhall in 1792. John had a son _Oramel_. Oramel had a son Fred E. Crawford. John and Mary Rosebrook Crawford had another son named _Abel_. Abel married Hannah Rosebrook. Hannah was b. in Lancaster, NH, 30 Oct 1773. Abel was b. in 1766. He had two sons, _Erastus and Ethan Allen Crawford. Ethan Allen Crawford _married _Lucy Howe_.
