I would like to know if it is permissible to contact list members with information about the restoration of Tusculum at Sweet Briar College (founded in memory of a descendant of the builder of Tusculum). I have added names to my address book and could contact them directly, not going through rootsweb, but since part of the message would be how to inform list members how they can contribute to the restoration fund, I would not wish to be acting contrary to rootsweb policy. Marian, We have run fund raising efforts through the "Davies Family Organization" for Tusculum.? The initial push, from what I could tell because of the informal nature of the effort, was very productive.? We have not said too much about Tusculum on our web site and in our newsletter for the past six months. We probably should develop some sort of open line of communications with the Crawford group(s) raising funds to save Tusculum.? You may be aware of the Davies-Crawford connection.?
