Thank you to those who let me know that this site is alive, so to speak, and well. CRAWFORD, Richard Eben, Jr. of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Wayzata, MN, passed away on August 25, 2016, at the age of 85. Preceded in death by parents, Richard E. Crawford and Alice Smith and brother, Rod. Survived by wife, Debbie Crawford; brother, Carroll (Monie) Crawford; children, Wesley (Cindy), John (Colleen), Lindsay (Jim), Dick (Cindy), Alexandra and Jessica (JR) Webb; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He graduated in 1953 from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., served in the Air Force and then attended the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School, where he earned his MBA. He served as president and CEO of the Minnesota Natural Gas Company and he was instrumental in that company's merger with Minnegasco, now known as CenterPoint Energy. Upon his move to Tucson in 1980, he became a big fan of the University of Arizona's sports teams, including basketball and football. In Tucson, he was active in Toastmasters and was honored as a distinguished toastmaster by the Toastmasters Aztec Club.
