Obit Arizona Daily Star 10 Nov. 2013 SPEELMAN, Jane Hope Crawford, Jane passed away peacefully on November 1, 2013, with her youngest daughter, Jennifer, by her bedside. Jane was born in Alliance, Ohio, on November 13, 1920, to Dr. A.B. and Nora Crawford. Jane attended Ohio State University where she received her degree in Nursing and met her husband, Merrill E. Speelman, M.D. Jane is survived by her four children, Jack (Linda) Speelman, Nancy (Bill) Worthen, M.D., Sally (Dennis) Douglas and Jennifer (Mike) Leinenbach; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill (1963). Jane worked as a registered nurse alongside her husband in Willcox, Arizona. Following his death she worked at Thomas-Davis Clinic in Tucson, Arizona. She retired to Palos Verdes, California, in 1980. She loved to spend time with her family, travel, needlepoint, and attend Silver Sneakers exercise classes. She was a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She will be missed.
