I've "rescued" an old photograph of three of Guy BRIGHT'S children (believed to be Bayard, Vonda, and Mildred) which was taken at the M. B. Vouk Studio in St. Cloud, MN. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with the three children ranging in age from infant to about 6 or 7 years. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the family: Guy Louis BRIGHT was b. 9 Jun 1878 or 1879 in Marietta, IA to parents James Alexander "Alex" BRIGHT (b. 24 May 1832 in La Moille, OH-d. 7 Jun 1916) and Martha A. KLINE or CLINE (b. 15 Dec 1837 in OH). Guy was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Bayard Taylor; Harry Alexander; Henry V.; Arthur D.; and Guy L. BRIGHT, born in Urbana, OH; Indiana; and Marietta, IA between 1862 and 1879. Guy married Laura Bertha SNYDER (b. 5 Feb 1883 in Barton, MO) in 1903 in Barton, MO and together they had three children, Bayard C.; Vonda F.; and Mildred Anita BRIGHT, all born between 1907 and 1914. Bertha died in Durango, CO in Oct 1980 and daughter Vonda F. BRIGHT died in Durango, CO on 4 Feb 1994. Guy Louis BRIGHT died 22 Mar 1946 in Stearns, MN. Son Bayard C. BRIGHT b. 2 Nov 1907 in Barton, MO, married Dorothy CRAWFORD (1909-1993) and died in June 1974 in Durango, CO. Mildred BRIGHT b. 5 Mar 1914 in St. Cloud, MN married Ward William GILMOUR or GILMORE (1912-1976) and died 24 Mar 2005 in Durango, CO. Census records provide the following details: 1920 census of St. Cloud, MN: Guy L. BRIGHT, age 41, born IA Bertha BRIGHT, wife, age 37, born MO Byard BRIGHT, son, age 12, born MO Vonda BRIGHT, dau, age 9, born MO Mildred BRIGHT, dau, age 5, born MN 1930 census of La Plata Co., CO: Guy BRIGHT, age 50, born IA Bertha BRIGHT, wife, age 46, born MO Vonda BRIGHT, dau, age 19, born MO Mildred BRIGHT, dau, age 16, born MN 1940 census of Durango, CO: Bayard BRIGHT, age 32, born MO, a Civil Engineer Dorothy BRIGHT, wife, age 30, born CO 1940 census of Hermosa, CO: Guy L. BRIGHT, age 60, born IA, a Farmer Bertha BRIGHT, wife, age 57, born MO Vonda BRIGHT, dau, age 29, born MO I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family.
