I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lella WILCOX; Allie WAIT; Edith WILCOX; Grace WILCOX; and Bertha BALDWIN which was taken at the J. R. Halstead Studio in Albion & Leslie, MI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with the 5 young women likely in their teens to 30's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information about the women in the photograph: Nelly or Lella or Luella O. WILCOX was b. Jan 1871 in Leslie, MI to parents John A. or Willard WILCOX (1827-1911) and Sarah WILCOX (b. 1841). She was one of 7 children born to this couple including, Emma; Helen E.; Willard E.; James Weston; Lella or Luella; Grace; and Edith WILCOX, all born between 1854 and 1878. John had three additional children from a previous marriage including Byron Daniel; Ryan; and Alice M. WILCOX. Lella or Luella appears to have been married 2 times, first to Scott E. LANE (1872-1939) on 19 Aug 1896 in Leslie, MI and then to Harry or Henry Nelson TEALL (b. 1871 in Owasso, MI to parents Henry N. TEALL and Isadore NEWMAN) on 3 Apr 1907 in Leslie, MI with whom she had a daughter Frances L. TEALL b. 1907. She died on Leslie MI in 1950. Bertha E. or E. Bertha BALDWIN was b. 19 Aug 1882 in Michigan to parents John M. BALDWIN (b. 1857) and Emma WILCOX (b. 1862). Bertha had one sister, Mildred O. BALDWIN b. 1893. Bertha married Charles L. CRAWFORD with whom she had two children, Geraldine T. CRAWFORD and Lucille E. CRAWFORD. Bertha died 14 Dec 1980 in Brandon, FL and is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in Jackson, MI.
