List: I will add yet another James and John Crawford to this group! Mine were the s/o Robert and Elizabeth Duncan Crawford. Robert was the s/o Thomas and Elspeth Beechem. They were from Lanarkshire, Scotland. Later moved on to Ireland and came to PA and they settled in Hanover, Dauphin Co. PA. Some of the sons moved on to Warren Co. Oh. and my direct desc. George's dtr.Mary Ellen, m. James Hutchison Craine in Des Moines IA. She d.in Antigo, Wi. in 1919. Is any of this familiar to anyone? This is a very incomplete list of the families, and if anyone is interested, I can give more . Donna On Jul 29, 2012, at 1:00 AM, crawford-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. There were two families, unrelated or not closely related. Mine will be associated with German families and Zion Lutheran church, I think yours then more with Irish families from what I'd seen. I thought it would be helpful for you to know there were two family groups. Some of "mine" also headed to OH, not all in any case. They first came to Philly, then MD, then this bunch back to PA while others directly on to OH that I know of, then IN.? > > ------------------------------ > > Message: 2 > Date: Sun, 29 Jul 2012 00:00:17 -0400 > From: "David L Hicks" <davelah@bellsouth.net> > Subject: Re: [CRAWFORD] Query > To: <crawford@rootsweb.com> > Message-ID: <001a01cd6d3e$c3e07700$4ba16500$@net> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > > List > > My Crawford's all settle in Va, most of my line is from Botetourt County of > Va. > > Old John Crawford with Sons Andrew, John, and James. > > This is what makes the Crawford's so hard to follow they all have the same > names. > > Just thankful that Botetourt has such great records. > > My SAR Patriot is Andrew Crawford. > > David Hicks > > > ------------------------------ > > Message: 3 > Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2012 23:54:05 -0500 > From: "mainmimi" <mainmimi@sbcglobal.net> > Subject: Re: [CRAWFORD] Query > To: <crawford@rootsweb.com> > Message-ID: <E79BF4ACB3DE4FF59A31BB6CE7516A5C@bitner> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" > > June, I know we've communicated before (I remember your name), but I don't think I knew then that my James was in the line of Thomas and Moses P. My Moses P. died in Limestone County, Texas. Am I wrong or do we have a connection? Do you know for sure who Thomas was married to? Hope you are well and have found LOTS of stuff on the Crawfords. > > Mimi > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: juneinca@aol.com > To: crawford@rootsweb.com > Sent: Saturday, July 28, 2012 5:42 PM > Subject: Re: [CRAWFORD] Query > > > > Does anyone have a James Crawford with father Thomas Crawford b. approx. 1785 VA? > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Barb Crawford <naturalrockbridgefarm@gmail.com> > To: crawford <crawford@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Sat, Jul 28, 2012 3:13 pm > Subject: Re: [CRAWFORD] Query > > > I am not positive, but I pretty sure he was in Westmoreland County.
