    2. COLUMBIA, SC - Graveside service for Adrienne Davant Crawford will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2012, in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. Pallbearers will be B. Lindsay Crawford IV, Ryan Baskin, Thomas Davant VI, Thomas Davant VII, Eric Baskin and Allen McLeod. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Lindsay and Bunni Crawford, 4989 Quail Lane, Columbia, SC 29206. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Crawford, widow of Baxter Lindsay Crawford Jr., died Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Born May 16, 1930 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Stovell Davant IV and Jesse Hedgepath Davant. She attended Mary Washington College in Virginia and graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg. Adrienne was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and was a member of numerous book clubs. She was an avid painter later in life. For over 25 years, Adrienne and Baxter were familiar faces at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School where she was a home room mother and in the PTA when her children attended and later while enjoying Grandparents' Days. Surviving are her children, Henrietta Crawford Joye (Michael), Baxter Lindsay Crawford III (Bunni), Davant Crawford Keenan (Dean); her grandchildren whom she adored, Baxter Lindsay Crawford IV, Elizabeth Hanahan Joye, Crawford Legrand Joye, Adrian Lawrence Keenan, Catherine Davant Keenan; her stepgrandson, Grayson M. Hart. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas Stovell Davant V (Mary Jane), Marvin Noel Davant (Reba); sister-in-law, Mary Frances Crawford Fitch; beloved nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Louise Singleton whom she loved dearly. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Mrs. Dorothy Cunningham, Ms. Corrine Morris and Mrs. Peggy McGee for the love and compassion given to their Mom during her illness. The family also would like to thank Dr. Crook and Compassionate Care Hospice for all of their support and care.
