    3. I'm so sorry I though I had more information. I have been looking for Crawford for years. I know that Elizabeth Crawford had a sister named Mary " Polly. Mary "Polly" married James Ellerbe March 10, 1782. Elizabeth married William around 1784. My Elizabeth was born Dec 6, 1770 and died Dec 10, 1840. From that generation down you will find a children with the middle name Crawford. This family was from the Cheraw part of S.C. I can't prove it but it looks like Edward Ellerby ( there are many spelling for the Ellerbe name) was from James City County in Virginia. He show up as early as 1677, He takes his family and land transactions from 1677-1714. Then they show up in North and South Carolina. Other names that go with this name are Galespy, or Gillespie. We know that Elizabeth in laws were Thomas Ellerbe ( b. March 20 1743 and d. Sept 16. and Obedience Glillespie ( B. Sept. 12, 1743 and d 1821). Does this mean anything to anyone. 2. I'm still trying to find out if Thomas Crawford was the father of John Whittle Crawford in Georgia. Anyone have any hints? Thanks, Mary Lu
