I've "rescued" an old photograph of Adda CRAWFORD which was taken at the McKay Studio in Cresco, Iowa. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Adda appearing to be in her teens are the time it was taken. Based on limited research and thanks to a CRAWFORD Family Researcher I was able to gather the following information regarding Adda and her family: Adaline L. CRAWFORD was b. Jun 1871 to parents John Allen CRAWFORD and Lucinda THORTON in Winneshiek, IA. Adda married Miles M. GRAF on 2 Jan 1898 in Winneshiek, IA. The couple had a son Donald Thorton GRAF b. 22 May 1900, he died Nov 1962. The family lived in Minneapolis, MN in 1920 and in Cambridge, MA in 1930. Census records for 1885 in Cresco, IA: John A. CRAWFORD, age 50, born NY Martha CRAWFORD, age 26, born MN Adaline CRAWFORD, age 13, born IA Emeline CRAWFORD, age 11, born IA Marietta VAN HOUSE, age 44, born NY John W. VAN HOUSE, age 9, born MN Lester VAN HOUSE, age 7, born MN Lucy L. VAN HOUSE, age 3, born Howard Co.
