    1. [CRAWFORD] George Crawford family of Castlefinn, Donegal, Ireland
    2. Cathy
    3. I have a family paper written by Dr. Luther Black in the early 1970s on the George Crawford Family of Castlefinn, Donegal, Ireland George Crawford, born abt. 1765, in Ireland, and his wife, Mary LNU, also born in Ireland, married about 1784/5 and had six children. At least three were born in Ireland: Alexander abt 1785, Thomas on 05 Sep 1786, and John 01 Mat 1787. The birth date and location of Elizabeth is unknown. Two more sons, George abt 1801 and James abt 1804 were born in Pennsylvania (per the 1850 US Census). The paper written from a letter from 1940 and other research on the family by Dr. Luther Black in 1970/1971 says the family immigrated in 1791 through Boston, MA. It says they found their way to Pennsylvania though there are so many Crawfords in PA it is impossible to determine where they located. I find the family in 1810 in West Carlisle, Coshocton County, Ohio and from there the documentation is plentiful. I descend from Thomas who married Mary Hartley. My question is can anyone give me some suggestions or help me find the immigration information? I am pretty handy with a computer but so far, no luck. Thank you. Cathy Crawford
