    1. Hiram Heaton Crawford
    2. Dale & Mary Poe
    3. Hi all, I too read every note in hopes. I am looking for proof of Hiram's parents. Hiram was 20 Feb 1822 in Pennsylvania and I show him as #6 in the family. I have been told by two different people who could possibly be his parents. They are William W. Crawford and Hannah Griffith. On these I was told that they were quakers and could not place parents with children in the same MM. I have told to check Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties. Would these link with any of yours!! Another person (thanks, Jeane) told me that William H. Crawford was Hiram's father. She is also looking for the mother. The person was news to me. Hiram followed is brother Israel Crawford who was disowned from the Quaker Church because he married out of the church. I have as other siblings as John, Wilson, Lydia, and Anne. I don't have spouses for John or Wilson but Lydia m. James Morris and Anne m. John Sharp. Mary Poe angels@midusa.net

    1. Thomas/Jenny Crawford
    2. Randel Conner
    3. Since I'm on a roll tonight and everyone seems to be reading, I decided to re-post my family info. I'm looking for info on Thomas Crawford, b about 1784-85 in VA, and last found on Itawamba Co., MS Census in 1860. Thomas married Jenny (__), b about 1780 in SC. Two children are confirmed: George Washington Crawford, b. 1810 in NC and Miranda Crawford, b. 1821 in SC. There is a big gap between George and Miranda's dates of birth. Other possible children of Thomas and Jenny include: James, Meeky, Frances, and Catherine - although this has not been confirmed. I have extensive information on descendants of George and Miranda. George married Jane Mangum in Itawamba Co. MS and Miranda married Elbert Hancock. Descendants spread to Arkansas and Oklahoma. If anyone has connections to these people, please contact me. 3. I too read all the notices in hopes of finding a connection, I look at the Crofford spelling as well as Crawford. Have not found a James Crofford born on 8 Feb 1853 in Indiana on either spellings. Spelling of name changed from Crofford 1910 Census to Crawford on 1920 Census for Dallas County, Arknasas . He married Addie Brock 27 March 1892 in Jefferson County Arknasas and my grandmother Florence R. Hammond on 20 August 1899 in Dallas County, Arkansas. Nothing prior to this. If we all could find a link sure would help us all maybe. Thanks for reading . Maxine

    3. Hazel, I can only suggest that you contact June Crawford Sanders for information. I have a few issues from 1992 to the last one I received in 1997. Back issues were available at that time. I'm pretty sure that the original editor (Wilton Whisler) kept all of the info submitted to him in a database, but don't know if he passed it all on to June or not. Sorry I don't personally recognize your line. Mine came out of Botetourt Co., VA, then to Wayne Co., IN abt. 1812, then to Cedar Co. (then Dade I believe), MO around 1841/42. They remained in Cedar near Stockton until May 1864 when they packed up and headed to Mendocino Co., CA where descendants still live. For anyone reading this that might be a related to this line of Crawfords, there will be a reunion in Ukiah on the 4th of July. E-mail me for details.
