    3. Does anyone on the list have any information on William App CRAWFORD? I seen an article in a Greene Co. Virginia newspaper dated about August 1905 about a William App CRAWFORD who was the first school teacher I believe at the Blue Ridge School. The article also had a picture of Mr. Crawford but the public library at Stanardsville id ot have a printer on the microfilm machine. I would like to know who he was married to, his children and other descendants. Can anyone on the list help me? Thanks, Cathy

On the 1850 Itawamba Co MS census, a Moody family is living between George W. Crawford and Moses Crawford. I'm seeking a connection to Rachel Miranda Crawford Moody. Thanks Marilyn Conner

    3. HELP!!! Please take time to check out your records and help me. My gg-Grandfather was Samuel Crawford who was born in 1825. He shows up in the 1850 Cencus in Jackson Co., TN with his wife Katherine Keith (daughter of Alexander Keith and Mary McAdoo) and one son Alexander who was my g-Grandfather William Alexander Crawford. At least two children were born later J. Haywood Crawford and Mary E. Crawford. William Alexander Crawford (b.16 May 1849 in Thompkinsville, KY) married (28 Nov 1871, Gainesboro, Jackson Co., TN) Mary Amelia Brown (daughter of Uriah Thomas Brown and Cypressa Calvin Brooks). Alex was a river boat captain and had nine children. I have info on all children. Haywood married Vituriah Draper (3 Oct 1894, Jackson Co., TN) and had at least one son, Earnest Crawford. -- Draper Families in America, by Anderson et al, 1964, pg. 373. Mary E.
