Pat Payne I was going through my incoming file and came across your message of Aug. 7 where you mentioned Hezekiah Crawford. Did you ever find anything else on him? This is my line and I have run into a brick wall at Hezekiah, b 1764, Virginia. Chuck Nelson in Ohio cnelson22@compuserve.com

Hello, Crawford Listers, I am a descendant of one ALEXANDER BELL CRAWFORD, who was born about 1765 in Maryland, and died about 1790, probably in Kentucky. His wife's name was ELLEN OWENS. They had four children: Robert, Betsy, Henry, and Alexander Bell Crawford II, who was born in 1790 in Carlisle, KY and died there on April 27, l876. I am looking for the ancestors of ABC I. I have additional information about his descendants down thru ABC V and will be happy to share.
I am researching the App and Mary F. Crawford and Morias Jordan and Sarah Jane Crawford Hansbrough lines. I was told that Mary was a Crawford before marrying "App". "App" is a nickname. Mary died ca. 1886 and her three younger children were raised by their grandmother, possibly a Molly Crawford. Sarah had an Uncle Jim and Aunt Nettie Crawford also. Sarah Crawford was born March 24, 1867 in Rockingham Co., VA and died Feb. 4, 1918. App and Mary had other children a William; Robert; John; Fluroy; Florence; and Mary Frances. I am looking for any information on the above lines. I would like to know what "App's" real name is and any information about him too. The Crawford's I believe were in Greene and Rockingham counties. Please if anyone can help me, contact me. Thanks, Cathy

Mary: I do the best I can. But personally dont know of these Crawfords. Jean
Andrew: Boy did you throw me for a loop. After I answered Mike I was about to finish reading my mail. When Andrew Crawford came up, I thought I finally lost it and needed to go on anti-Alzheimer pills. Ha! You both have given me such wonderful info. But there are more questions than answers now. So I must digest all of this. We went to alittle town of Crawford and maybe thats where the Lindsey Tower and Crawford Castle are. I really have to talk to my son. He llives in Atlanta so it might take me awhile to contact him. I will let you know.
Mike: Im not done with either book yet but I will let you know. And I have to ask my son where exactly the Lindsey tower and Crawford Castle was at. I remember it was on the East part of Scotland. Ill find out. Jean
