Question: I took the DNA test from 23and me. Is there a way to share it with Ancestry? Also. My 3rd great grandmother was Margaret (Polly) Crawford married to frederick bagwell (jr) although I never see jr attaches to his name. His father was also named frederick so it’s my way of keeping them straight. Frederick and Margaret ,along with children and other family members migrated to Mississippi in the 1830’s. They settled in the Choctaw, Webster and Winston county areas. Some of Margaret ‘s family also came - her father peter Crawford among them. Does anyone connect to these Crawford’s? I have found their graves which are currently in a federal game preserve in a mostly intended cemetery. 2. I have traced them back to 1625. Their origin is Scotland to Pa. Then scattered. You sent this to my mom, grannytoad, she passed away a year ago, with her went a lot of mental info.. I can talk to my aunt and uncle, though I went through his DNA and found  no one matching that name. 3. When I get home from vacation I will check my husbands line. I have been getting tons of matches but haven’t followed up yet. I recently talked with FTDNA and somehow my setup did not get updated (like all the thousands of others) for a newer process for contacting me. I was told, “You fell through the cracks.” ???? No one can contact me. It was weird how it all happened but I hope it will be fixed soon. 3. Hi Paula,  I am always delighted to hear from a Crawford.  My Crawford family is from New Brunswick, Canada.  They were originally from Ayr, Scotland and some of them moved to Donegal Ireland before arriving in New Brunswick about 1800. My results were found after 14 plus years of searching, several DNA tests of brothers and myself, and reading many old newspapers --only to find my relative in my very own county--thanks to the newspaper.  They had moved around a LOT. There is a great possibility that your family may be related to a Judge Henry Crawford who was born 1860 and died in 1929. He is buried in Whitesville Cemetery Andrew County, Missouri.  That family also has relatives in Illinois and Indiana as well as Tennessee. It would be worth a try.                                                                                                     Sharon Crawford Brobst On Thursday, June 28, 2018 1:20 PM, Charles Crawford <cbcrawford@gmail.com> wrote: My  Crawford’s came to Canada in 1821 and settled in the township of Avoka which is  near  Montreal. Wm doesn’t appear on 1850 Mercer cnty census and neither does Z’s youngest son Reuben. Wm does appear serving in Reubens house on 1860 census. By 1870 census Wm is in Meigs County, OH along with his first w Mary E Lovett and widow Jane Bowling Crawford, her son, John B and his family and her dau, Margaret “Harriet” Crawford Thomas and her family. I believe this Wm started out in the confederacy…(have date) and then reenlisted in the5th OVC in 1865. He is not the son of Z and Janes son Charles and w Chloe….their son Wm died in 1861 of camp fever at Lewisburg and I got his NARA papers. Believe Z and J had older son, Wm b about 1813 because he along with Z and Charles and Thomas and Reuben all paid taxes in Mercer County from 1837 thru 1841. My Wm named his first son with 1st wife Emmet…and sons with 2nd wife Hannah were Thomas, William, and Edgar. Dau with 1st wfe was Leora and daus with 2nd wife were Sarah Marilla and Mattie M.
