If you have tried going to the PA Dept of Health's website for birth/death records lately, you'll know it has moved. For those of you who haven't, you should . . . go to the NEW PA Vital Records Website, that is, if you research in Pennsylvania at all . . . The PA Dept of Health, Division of Vital Records has a new website: a few weeks old. If you haven't been there, you should check it out. http://www.health.state.pa.us/vitalrecords/ After 1916, Phila. vital records are now only available from the Division of Vital Records.' Further, as I now understand it, death records may only be requested by the decedent's "family members" (for genealogical purposes). You might want to read up on the policies, etc. at the new site.
