Wednesday, July 14, 2010 Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Cranston, 64, of Lake Ridge, Va., died July 11, 2010, in La Plata. She was an administrative assistant. She enjoyed family and sports. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Born Nov. 12, 1945, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Eva Hoffmann Dawson and her husband, William and the late George Cranston Jr. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers, Michael L. Cranston and his wife, Sandra and Stephen A. Cranston and his wife, Sandy; sisters, Georgene F. Quill and her husband, John and Susan M. Aldstadt and her husband, Harry; 11 nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and -nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. July 14 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. A service will be held at 10 a.m. July 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. The Rev. John Reutemann will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Charles County, P.O.
