I have just connected William Edward Schaettle, b 8 Mar 1913 in Cincinnati to my family tree. His father, Phillip Paul Schaettle was a traveling salesman, and was in Washington State, both before and after the birth of this child. I didn't know Phillip had any children. And, I have not found a reference before this, of William's mother, a Maud Estella Craig, according to his SS application. I would like very much to know if Phillip and Maud were married and stayed in OH. He reappears, without wife or family, in Washington state in 1935. Any clues appreciated. Edie

McQuillan Craig (Dunloy, Finvoy, County Antrim) circa 1847 -- first came to Portage and later Eu Claire, WI. William went on to Missouri (Cameron, near St. Joe) and later to Davison/Aurora Counties in South Dakota, circa 1885). John stayed in Wisconsin.
