My great great grandmother, Margaret Anderson was reputed to be a granddaughter of Chief Anderson of the Delaware Tribe, Turtle Clan. She married David Craig (b. 1852), son of Daniel Craig and Elizabeth Mogle. I'm also told Elizabeth was a Delaware . . . The daughter of David & Margaret, Clara, married Simeon Clem, who was the son of John W. Clem and M. J. I'm told that M. J. was also a Delaware Indian, and that the initials were for her tribal name. I can't confirm anything on Margaret, Elizabeth, or M.J. Anyone else have any of these people in their lines? The Delaware Tribe is connected to the Cherokee, although they have been fighting in court to "declare their independance" for the last few years. I'd love to clear this up and find out for sure if the family stories passed down through the generations are based in fact or fiction. Can you help me? Donna (Clem) Arthur
