I'm looking for a Dale or Vernon Craig, should still be alive... sons of Leo Craig and Eileen Nichols. They are the 5th generation descended from Joseph Craig and Mary Parker. Joseph was my ancestor's first cousin and Mary was my husband's ancestor's first cousin. They married two hundred years ago this October. Mary Ellen
Dear Mary Ellen: Your e-mail gave me quite a start. Leo Craig was my first cousin. I have our genealogy back to 1750 but I do not have a record of Joseph Craig. My Craigs were from Indiana but I have suspected there might be a connection to the Ky Craigs for years but Have never been able to find. it. Leo's son Orville Dale Craig was b 22 Sep 1934 m 19 Sep 1953 Wanda Lilly b 21 Jan 1935. The last records I have of them they had two children, Danny Ray and Cathy Elaine. Leo's other son Vernon was b 25 Oct 1939 m Lillian Aubrey Aug 1963. The last I knew they were both in Kansas City, Mo. I believe I heard from some of the relatives up there that when Leo died he divided the farm between the two boys and that Dale was going to move back up to Harrison Co., Mo. Would be interested in more about Joseph if you care to share Freeda Craig Brower, Grove.
