    3. If this is a hit for anyone I will be glad to scan in the picture of David S. Craig and send it along to you .... gdc While writing a few paragraphs about my mother's line I remembered there were Craigs mentioned in it and that it might be of interest to anyone searching out Ohio Craigs. The article references Washington (Courthouse) School. The little town was once called only Washington, Ohio and then it became (and remains) Washington Courthouse, Ohio. It is located in Southeast of Xenia, Ohio and Northeast of Cincinnati. The school yearbook is for the year 1913. Mentioned in the yearbook is David S. Craig (HS Superintendent), Paul Craig (who wrote the Sophomore Class history), Robert Craig and Paul Craig are pictured in the male glee club, Robert/Bob Craig (a freshman, is mentioned as a member of the football team), An advertisement in the back of "The Owl" has an ad for "Craig Bros" Department Store which was established in 1874 (there are 2 pictures of the store) Mclain High School June 29, 2000 Times-Gazette - Highland County, Hillsboro An article appeared on the front page regarding a historical marker to be place at McClain High School located in Greenfield. Kathleen Fuller, the Greenfield editor for the Gazette, wrote the article. I found this a very interesting happenstance and although little was mentioned of the content (yet to be approved) of the marker. I was in the area researching McClain ancestors and just stumbled across the school that was named for a well-known educator and administrator of the area. What made this even more interesting was the fact that I had just found a copy of the first Washington High School Yearbook dated 1913 in which a picture of the school superintendent, William McClain appeared. On the same page, a picture of David S. Craig, president of the school board also appeared. Though I am sure that this particular Craig is not of our line, I found it interesting that a Craig was president of the school board for the same school that my mothers relative, William McClain, served as superintendent.
