I am intrigued by your posting to the CRAIG-L list. My greatgrandfather had a brother ROBERT CRAIG born 1817 who married at Anstruther Scotland 16th Aug 1840 MARGARET PARKER born 1817 at Anstruther in Scotland. They came to Liverpool England with their family around 1850 and were still there at the time of the 1881 census. But I have no trace of the family after this date. I always supposed that they emigrated but I have no proof. They had eight children, five boys and three girls. Jessy, William, Alexander, Mary Jane, Robert, George, Margaret, John Taylor Jessy, William and George are not shown on the 1881 Census.- but the others are and there is also a Grandson William E.E. Craig but I do not know which one is the parent. Now I know that this is not a JOSEPH CRAIG but people do seem to change their christian names and the surname of the wife being PARKER interested me. They are the 5th generation descended from Joseph Craig and Mary Parker. Joseph was my ancestor's first cousin and Mary was my husband's ancestor's first cousin. They married two hundred years ago this October. Mary Ellen ==== CRAIG Mailing List ==== All Material sent through Craig-L is copyright 2000 by its original author.
