Hello Fellow Craig Listers: I have shared and exchanged info with fellow lister, Greg Craig, this past month; but thought I would post what my Craig line consists of as I still have several gaps to fill .... May 1758 Their Children: #1:) Janet born - December 24, 1779 Miachias, Maine married Dugald Carmichael (10 known children) #2.) David born - May 1782 married Sarah Bonny (2 known children: James and Joel) James married: Martha Jamieson *Sarah Bonny has sister named Elizabeth.....* #3.) Elizabeth Craig - born September 1784 married David McFarlane ?? Russell #4.) James Craig born September 1989 married Charlotte Walker #5.) John Craig born September 1791 #6.) Mary Craig born May 1794 married Thomas Sime #7.) Martha Craig born December 1797 married: William Gow #8.) Allen Craig born November 1805 Married: Louis Handy * * * * Footnote: My g g g g g grandfather David Craig served as a UEL 1977-1784 in the Old Argyll Highlanders 74th Regiment. <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~nbstandr/stan3a.htm">Click here: Disbanded 74th Regt.</A> Among those listed at the link above, is Molly Craig. I am not sure who Molly Craig is (maybe David's wife, Mary Steele was called Molly, as Molly is a variation of both the name Mary and Margaret) ... but the children, Janet and David, are indeed David's and are hardly "over 10 years old" as the roll call indicates they should be 10 yrs. Old or older to be mentioned on the list! Young David would hardly be 2 years old at the disbanding of the 74th and Janet (who was their oldest, is just 4 1/2 yrs old at that time.) Perhaps the children's names were just given (when asked if any children accompanied them to St. Andrews and David, nor Mary paid any attention to the names to be listed as being limited to 10 years old or older) ...
