If so, she was my aunt, several generations back, and a daughter of James and Margaret (Weir) Montgomery who moved from Augusta County, Virginia to Washington County, Tennessee (then N.C.) in about 1781, and then down to Blount County, Tennessee by the mid-1790s. I thought I had names for their children, but I just checked and I do not. What threw me off was that James Montgomery had a brother named Robert Montgomery, who married Sarah Colville, and lived in Washington County, VIRGINIA (not Tennessee). Among their daughters was Juliet Montgomery who married John Craig in 1811, Jane Montgomery who married a Mr. Hays, Esther Montgomery who married David Hayes, and John Montgomery who married Elizabeth Christy Craig. Does any of this possibly fit with your research?
