Hello Craig's!! I am stuck, and stuck bad. I am looking for the parents of George W. Craig, born in Kentucky on or about 1829. He moved to St. Louis, Mo where he died on or about 1905. His wife was Mary Huskey, born in St. Louis, Mo on or about 1837, died in St. Louis, Mo on or about 1916. Their son was George William Craig, born 1869, St. Louis, Mo and was married to May Elizabeth Guion, born 1875, St. Louis, Mo. Both of which later moved to Denver, Co. I have been stuck here for years, any help? Thanks a bunch! Bydand!

Open reply concerning George W. Craig .... Our line has a George W. Craig born in 1852 in Anderson County, Kentucky to parents Lindsey (David Lindsey/Lindsay) Craig and Mary Jane Robertson .... what make this interesting is that David Lindsey was the son of William Craig and Peggy (Margaret) Waters/Walters. Sometime after 1813 William and family moved to Putnam County, Indiana and appeared to remain there until after the 1830 Census. We also find the Dorrells there, in Putnam County. However, by 1832, when his will was probated, William, Peggy and some of their children appear to have moved on to Paris, Edgar County, Illinois. William had land upon which there was a large mill that was mentioned in his will. Upon Williams death the family seemed to split and go in many directions, some had married and stayed in Indiana, some stayed in Illinois, others headed west to Mo and points west. A few returned to their prior home in Kentucky. Of key significance is the fact that Lindsey (David Lindsey) returned to Kentucky, since he is one of the forefathers of our line and his later marriage to Mary Jane Robertson is an important element in the way our family history plays out. One last note .... My grand father left his family in Kentucky and went to visit relatives in the general vicinity of St Louis, MO in the early 1920. We never been able to tie down who those relatives were .... and we have been unable to find the trail for most of the rest of Williams Children ....
