My William Craig the Mountain Man died 1869. I am trying to find out if he had a son with Jane Ivason, a Scottish Lady from Canada. Wiiliam Craig had an Indian wife Isabel and a Son Joseph William Craig. I have a picture of him in Nez Perse clothing. He was a half breed and some say he married a white woman. I need to find out who he married. My Grandfather was Charles Henry Craig and was born in 1880. William Craig the mountain man, and Walla walla's first Postmaster in 1859, woild have been about 60 years old. Did he leave his Nez perse wife in Lapwai and go to Walla Walla to get more respectable, marry Jane Ivason and have a child when he was 60?
