John Craig, b. abt 1760 (don't know where) ; he was a Loyalist soldier with the 84th Regiment, 25 June 1782 to 10 Oct. 1783( perhaps a Patriot soldier before that).. :. Probably joined the 84th at Charleston, Willmington or New York. It is possible he is descended from your John Craig, b. 1727-1729...buried near Lancaster, SC. Do you think your John had a son, or grandson John, who could be mine? He received a land grant here in New Brunswick, Canada of 413 acres, which was "large" compared to most soldiers. Interestingly you have a Calvin Craig in your family (my name is also Calvin)....there was another "John Calvin Craig" in my family who migrated from New Brunswick Canada to New Zealand. Hope to hear from you further. Cal Craig
