He was born about 1760 (don't know where) , joined the Loyalist British Regiment (84th), abt 25 June 1782, and served until they were disbanded in Oct. 1783. Prior to that he may have been a Patriot soldier. It is very possible he could be a son or grandson of your John or Henry Craig who were b. l727-29 and are buried at Lancaster, SC. Did any of yours have an offspring named John who would fit into that category?. My John received a land grant of 4l3 acres here in New Brunswick, after the war, which is fairly large for a common soldier. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. He died up here in 1833.
