I believe I am related to William Craig and Janet Stewart that arrived in PA in about 1721/22. I've copied one or two researchers information about Craigs in Scotland/Ireland and they were both different yet both involved the same given names. One even said that he could find anyones relatives in Scotland/Ireland and after two months could find no connection for me and no William that left there and came to the USA named William with a wife named Janet. Its almost as difficult finding anyone back before about 1820 in the USA since all the Federal Census's only recorded surnames and marks in a column for male and female and of different age groups. My father said that my line of Craigs came from county Clare yet all the information I have accumulated seem to point to the William and Janet I mentioned earlier. The trail, according to some researchers seems to go back to about 1550 in Scotland and everything seems to be chronologically correct. However, when I send an e-mail to get more information and supporting documents or referrences, I get mailer demons that mean my letter did not go through. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide on my Craig search. I can't even locate any Craigs that lived in county Clare on the internet. Thanks again Jim C fm AZ
