He was the son of John Craig and Catherine Pattie and the grandson of Rev. Lewis Craig, who led the Travelling Church and was the son of Taliaferro Craig. I have that Francis married Elizabeth Ann Lindsay on Feb 22, 1845 and they had two sons, David Lindsay Craig born in 1846, and Francis Fairfax Craig born in 1847. Francis died young but David had a large family and one of his descendants, James Dick Wilks, used to write me occassionally. I don't know of an Osborne connection.
